Testonic® Artificial Blood Plasma – Protein-Added is a high-protein artificial plasma solution specifically developed to analyze the interaction behavior of medical devices and implant surfaces against plasma proteins. In accordance with the ISO 10993-18 standard, it performs protein adsorption, biofilm initiation, It is used in studies such as simulation and evaluation of coating performance in terms of surface biocompatibility.

The solution is formulated to mimic the ionic and osmotic properties of human blood plasma. BSA simulates plasma proteins that will interact with the surface. This allows the protein binding capacity, cleanability, and long-term biological response of surfaces to be evaluated.

• Appearance: Slightly opaque (due to protein content)

• Protein concentration: 20 g/L (2% BSA) (Added by the user.) Optional additions are available.

• Density: ~1.030 g/mL

• Contents: Na⁺, K⁺, Ca⁺⁺, Mg⁺⁺, HCO₃⁻, H₂PO₄⁻, glucose and albumin

• Test temperature: Should be applied at 37°C
