Classic hot staining method for the microscopic detection of acid-fast bacteria
The Ziehl–Neelsen Staining Kit is a ready-to-use, three-component system designed for the detection of acid-fast bacilli (AFB), especially Mycobacterium tuberculosis, under light microscopy. Based on the traditional hot staining method, the kit includes Carbol Fuchsin, Acid Alcohol, and an alkaline Methylene Blue counterstain.
Enhanced with Tween 80, methanol, and pH 10.7 buffering, it delivers superior staining contrast, smear uniformity, and long-term stability. Ideal for clinical microbiology labs, TB screening programs, and diagnostic or educational use.
Applications:
-
Identification of Mycobacterium and other acid-fast organisms
-
Clinical microbiology and pathology labs
-
Public health and infectious disease screening
-
Laboratory technician education
-
Standard hot Ziehl–Neelsen staining
