Testonic Disinfectant Residue Test Kit – QAC Disinfectants – Titrimetric is designed for titrimetric determination of quaternary ammonium compounds (QAC) in disinfectant working solutions, process samples and post-disinfection control samples.
The drop / titration-count system provides rapid field determination within a 50–1000 ppm QAC range. It supports verification of applied or residual QAC levels in food processing, industrial hygiene, equipment sanitation and other QAC-based disinfection processes.
What Is It Used For?
In QAC-based disinfection processes, both the concentration of the applied disinfectant and the remaining active level at the selected process point may need to be verified.
The kit supports on-site titrimetric determination of QAC concentration during disinfectant preparation, application and process verification.
- QAC disinfectant working-solution control
- CIP / COP and equipment sanitation
- Food and beverage production lines
- Tanks, pipelines and filling equipment
- Industrial hygiene and surface disinfection
- Post-disinfection QAC residue verification
How Is the Titrimetric Result Calculated?
According to the product titration factor, each titration division corresponds to 50 ppm QAC.
| Titration Result | QAC Concentration |
|---|---|
| 1 division | 50 ppm |
| 2 divisions | 100 ppm |
| 5 divisions | 250 ppm |
| 10 divisions | 500 ppm |
| 20 divisions | 1000 ppm |
Which QAC Compounds Can Be Checked?
| QAC Compound | Abbreviation |
|---|---|
| Benzalkonium Chloride | BAC |
| Cetyltrimethylammonium Chloride | CTAC |
| Cetylpyridinium Chloride | CPC |
| Didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride | DDAC |
| Alkyl Dimethyl Benzyl Ammonium Chlorides | ADBAC |
| Octyl Decyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride | ODDAC |
| Dodecyltrimethylammonium Chloride | DTAC |
| Dodecyltrimethylammonium Bromide | DTAB |
Results are interpreted as a QAC-equivalent concentration according to the calibration of the test system.
